Active spring schedule!!

We are currently preparing for our LGPE (Larege Group Performance Evaluation) for this school year. This major event will take place March 22-24. Our 7th & 8th Grade Band will perform as well as our 6th Grade Band. We do not know our performance times yet. In preparation for this event, we will have several activities going on leading up to this adjudicated performance. The following link is the flyer that was given out that has a detailed schedule of events. More specific information will be distributed a few days before each event. All state band final round and district honor band

Three of our students successfully passed the first round of our All State Band auditions and auditioned in the final round on January 9 in Perry, Georgia. Once the results are published, it will be updated on this web site. These students along with one other have been selected for our District Honor Band.

University of georgia midfest

We are fortunate to have the following students accepted to the University of Georgia's MidFest Band Clinic for Middle School Students. They auditioned for placement in either the Honor Band or one of seven equally talented clinic bands. Their placement is listed beside their name.

Morning Practice for all students

Students are always allowed to practice their instruments in the morning in the band room. This is a great way to practice for playing tests and other performances.

Solo & ensemble

This year we had 12 students participate in our district's Solor & Ensemble Festival. These students were divided into 4 ensembles. Each ensemble was evaluted and scored on a I through IV scoring system. Each of our ensembles received the highest two scores I or II. We are very proud of these students.
